An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse experienced in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings to provide high-level patient care in a hospital environment. This contract position involves working night shifts and requires the ability to float between multiple departments including medical-surgical, step-down, and emergency units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver critical care to patients with complex conditions, including ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and neuro and cardiac assessments.
  • Manage and monitor patients with tracheostomies, strokes, STEMI, and use of medical sheaths.
  • Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system for accurate and timely documentation.
  • Maintain an efficient 2:1 patient ratio in a 21-bed unit.
  • Flexibly float among medical-surgical, step-down, and emergency departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Current Tennessee or multistate RN license with at least 1 year of ICU experience.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in critical patient assessment and ICU-level interventions.
  • Ability to work designated night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) with block scheduling and accommodate floating requirements.
