An opportunity is available for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to work nights in a high-acuity critical care setting. This 13-week contract assignment in Hazard, Kentucky offers a structured 36/48-hour schedule with a focus on delivering exceptional care within a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU/MICU
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate patient record management
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and dignity in all care activities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years ICU or MICU nursing experience
  • Active Kentucky Registered Nurse license or compact license
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Proficient with Meditech electronic medical records
  • Comfortable managing patients in a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio critical care setting
