A healthcare facility in Concord, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse with expertise in Interventional Radiology for a contract position. This role supports a Level I Trauma Center with a strong teaching hospital setting that includes chest pain and stroke centers, serving both adult and pediatric patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
- Manage patient care efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including patients from emergency, ICU, and other nursing units.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with departmental protocols and safety standards.
- Participate in call rotations and holiday coverage as per contract agreement.
- Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC and operate department-specific equipment including iSTAT and point-of-care devices.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in interventional radiology or related specialty.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to work confidently in a high-acuity setting with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Open to first-time travel nurses interested in a rewarding contract assignment.
Schedule and Work Hours:
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- No weekend rotation; travelers remain on assigned shifts during the contract.
- Call coverage shared fairly among team members.
- Holiday coverage required unless approved otherwise.
