Unit Details & Schedule:
- 20-bed unit focused on medical-surgical care
- Staff includes experienced RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians
- Night shift hours: 7 PM to 7 AM
- Patient-to-nurse ratio typically 6:1 with LPN support
- Use of modern equipment including hoyer lifts, air taps, and wound vacs
- Electronic Medical Records system: Meditech
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care with a focus on wound and dressing care for post-operative burn and flap patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with unit policies and procedures and promote patient safety
- Utilize clinical judgment to assess and respond to patient needs efficiently
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current RN license with medical-surgical experience required
- Familiarity with wound care and burn care is highly preferred
- Ability to work effectively as a positive, team-oriented professional
