This contract opportunity is based in Aurora, CO, at a well-equipped healthcare facility known for delivering specialized care with advanced technology. The role is suited for Registered Nurses proficient in medical-surgical nursing who thrive in fast-paced units caring for complex patients.

Location Overview:

Unit Details & Schedule:

  • 20-bed unit focused on medical-surgical care
  • Staff includes experienced RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians
  • Night shift hours: 7 PM to 7 AM
  • Patient-to-nurse ratio typically 6:1 with LPN support
  • Use of modern equipment including hoyer lifts, air taps, and wound vacs
  • Electronic Medical Records system: Meditech

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care with a focus on wound and dressing care for post-operative burn and flap patients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with unit policies and procedures and promote patient safety
  • Utilize clinical judgment to assess and respond to patient needs efficiently

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with medical-surgical experience required
  • Familiarity with wound care and burn care is highly preferred
  • Ability to work effectively as a positive, team-oriented professional
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
