Provide skilled nursing care as a Registered Nurse on a Med Surg unit in a well-respected hospital serving the St. Louis area. This contract opportunity offers a chance to make a significant impact in patient care, working primarily nights on 8 East Neuro, with the flexibility to select either 36 or 48 guaranteed weekly hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensuring patient comfort and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards in accordance with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Respond flexibly to floating needs within similar or lower acuity units.
- Use EMR systems (EPIC) for documentation and communication.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN license valid or eligible for Missouri.
- At least 1 year of Med Surg inpatient experience; Neuro experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with occasional weekends as required.
- Strong physical stamina including ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
