Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Neuro Medical/Surgical unit specializing in the care of stable patients transitioning from higher-acuity neuro areas. This contract position requires a strong foundation in med/surg nursing and familiarity with neuro-specific protocols. You will collaborate closely with a supportive interdisciplinary team, focusing on delivering top-tier, patient-centered care.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible 12-hour shifts, as needed by the unit.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license.
  • Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing, preferably with neuro unit exposure.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
  • Competency in managing a patient ratio of 1:4-6, ensuring safety and quality care.
  • Strong communication and clinical assessment skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-neuro acute patients within the med/surg unit.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, respond promptly to changes, and document care accurately.
  • Administer medications and neuro-specific treatments according to established protocols.
  • Advocate for patient needs and coordinate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to achieve optimal health outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and progress.
  • Maintain compliance with safety guidelines, infection control, and unit policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required.

This assignment offers a competitive weekly compensation ranging from $1,750–$1,900, reflecting experience and assignment specifics.
