RN Med Surg | Bonaire, Georgia

Seek an experienced Registered Nurse with MedSurg/Telemetry expertise to provide exceptional inpatient care at a Level 1 Trauma Teaching Hospital in Bonaire, GA. This contract role demands proficiency in managing a variety of medical and cardiac conditions in a dynamic hospital environment known for its Chest Pain and Stroke Centers.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients in med-surg/telemetry units, managing cardiac drips (insulin, heparin, and others titrated to heart rate), performing trach and chest tube care, PIV starts, and glucose monitoring. Collaborate closely with CNAs, charge nurses, resource nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists to ensure comprehensive patient care. You will work within a team-oriented culture that relies on strong clinical skills and flexibility, including floating between multiple med/tele units as needed. Orientation includes one day in-person and two days of departmental education modules.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry experience
• BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred (ability to pass EKG competency exam upon onboarding)
• MedSurg certification is a plus
• Proficiency in managing all cardiac-related drips and common med-surg nursing tasks
• Ability to provide trach care, chest tube management, and perform PIV starts
• Comfortable working with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
