Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - Cairo, GA

A registered nurse with MedSurg experience is needed for a contract assignment on an oncology floor in a Georgia medical facility. This role is ideal for someone comfortable managing higher patient ratios and working night shifts every other week, focusing on oncology patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care on the oncology med-surg unit with patient ratios of 1:6 or 1:7
• Administer treatments including telemetry monitoring and IV starts
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, utilizing EMR systems Cerner and Soarian
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and care standards
• Work night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other week

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least one year of recent med-surg nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Experience with oncology nursing highly preferred
• Skilled in telemetry and IV insertion
• Familiarity with Cerner and Soarian EMR systems
• Ability to manage higher patient loads effectively
• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
• Availability for a 13-week assignment starting three weeks from offer date, with possible extension
• Must be able to wear royal blue scrubs (not provided)
• Local nurses within 31-50 miles are preferred; candidates under 30 miles will not be considered
