Medical-Surgical RN in Canandaigua, NY

Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic Cardiac Med/Tele unit at a well-equipped facility with 37 beds. This opportunity offers a 13-week contract with a night/day rotation schedule, perfect for skilled Registered Nurses seeking challenging and rewarding experiences in acute medical-surgical and telemetry settings.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts rotating between nights (7 PM–7 AM) and days (7 AM–7 PM)
• Option for 36 or 48 hours per week
• One weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend
• Must work at least one holiday during the contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality nursing care to patients on the Cardiac Med/Tele unit
• Chart patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records
• Float to other units as needed, demonstrating adaptability
• Assume charge nurse duties upon training and readiness
• Maintain flexibility to meet facility’s staffing requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York Registered Nurse license
• Current NIH AHA BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute med/surg or telemetry nursing
• For non-U.S. candidates, at least 2 years U.S. work experience
• Reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience:

• 2 years recent acute med surg/telemetry nursing experience
