Medical-Surgical RN in Denver, CO

This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical experience to provide care on an orthopedic surgical unit located in Denver, CO. This contract role involves working the evening to night shift on a busy 20-bed unit within a major hospital setting. Ideal candidates will be confident managing up to five patients independently and have previous exposure to surgical nursing.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic and trauma surgical patients.
• Perform dressing changes and aspirations as part of patient treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and nursing staff to maintain quality care and patient safety.
• Utilize Meditech EMR to document and track patient care accurately.
• Participate in pain management strategies to optimize patient comfort.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current RN license with solid Medical-Surgical nursing skills.
• Experience working independently with 5 patients simultaneously in a surgical unit.
• Preferred: Orthopedic and pain management experience.
• Strong teamwork abilities and a positive professional attitude are essential.

Schedule:

• Evening to night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
