Providing compassionate, skilled care on a medical-surgical unit dedicated to delivering positive patient outcomes is essential to this nursing role. This 13-week contract position offers an opportunity to support diverse inpatient populations on a night shift schedule at a reputable healthcare facility in Fenton, MO.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement nursing plans, and evaluate outcomes for Med/Surg patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EPIC) and medical equipment, including Alaris IV and Kangaroo pumps.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to nursing scopes as outlined by the Missouri Nurse Practice Act.
  • Adapt to float to other units as needed to support staffing requirements.
  • Comply with vaccine requirements and facility dress codes.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license eligible or issued in Missouri.
  • Minimum of 1 year of inpatient Med Surg nursing experience.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required; ACLS preferred.
  • Ability to work night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with weekend rotations.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Details:

  • Guaranteed 36 or 48 hours weekly (flexible schedule—please specify).
  • No call requirements.
  • Orientation on day shift required during first week.
  • Black scrubs required; closed-toe shoes must be worn.
