Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - Florissant, MO

A registered nurse (RN) with a strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry care is needed for a 13-week contract opportunity on the night shift (1900-0730) in the Florissant, MO area. This position supports inpatient care on a 60-bed unit with patient ratios typically ranging from 1:5 to 1:6. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of medical-surgical experience, a current Missouri RN license, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. ACLS certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities in collaboration with ancillary departments.
• Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and professional accountability.
• Float to similar or lower-acuity units as needed.
• Utilize medical equipment such as bladder scanners, vein finders, IV pumps, and wound vacuums.
• Document and communicate patient data via the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license eligible for or currently held in Missouri.
• Minimum 1 year medical-surgical inpatient experience.
• BLS certification from AHA; ACLS certification preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and flexible hours based on facility needs.
• Dependable, flexible, and a team player.
