A critical role is available for an experienced registered nurse with a strong background in medical-surgical care, including orthopedic and spine patients. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification is optional but preferred
  • Demonstrated punctuality, strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Positive attitude, effective communication, and a proactive, self-starting approach
  • Advanced assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and time management skills are essential

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to a varied medical-surgical patient population, including orthopedic and spine cases, trauma patients, and those requiring special procedures such as thoracentesis and dialysis
  • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Alaris pumps, remote telemetry, wound vacs, and more
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, maintaining patient safety and comfort while supporting the unit’s high standards
  • Document care accurately using Meditech electronic medical records
  • Adhere to unit policies and participate in scheduling that includes at least one weekend shift in a four-week period
