An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in medical-surgical care, supporting both adult geriatric and pediatric patients. This contract role offers a dynamic environment with excellent staffing ratios that promote quality patient care and professional satisfaction.

Situated in Ganado, AZ, this position is based within a 20-bed medical-surgical unit that serves a diverse patient population including adults and children. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care on a 12-hour medical-surgical unit.
  • Manage patient loads with non-COVID staffing ratios typically 4:1 (maximum 5:1) and COVID care ratios 2:1 (maximum 3:1).
  • Provide care to both adult and pediatric patients, including participation in flu immunization clinics as required.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and comply with orientation and training requirements.
  • Flexibly float to other qualified departments, handling tasks ranging from patient care to vital support duties like responding to call lights and phone communications.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current RN license with three years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
  • Minimum one year pediatric nursing experience.
  • Certifications required: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Comfortable and proficient in caring for both adult and pediatric patient populations.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts, with flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Orientation held on Mondays only; compliance deadlines must be met to avoid rescheduling.

Additional Information:
