A Registered Nurse with Med/Surg and Telemetry expertise is needed for a contract role in Gray, GA. This position provides treatment to inpatients on medical-surgical and telemetry units, requiring proficiency in cardiac drips and various technical skills essential to acute care.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care to patients on med/surg and telemetry units with an RN-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4-6
  • Manage tracheostomy care, chest tubes, peripheral IV starts, and glucometer reading
  • Administer and titrate drips such as insulin, heparin, and cardiac-specific drips following protocols
  • Collaborate closely with CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists to ensure optimal patient safety and outcomes
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and hospital-specific equipment including Alariso IV pumps and Philips monitors
  • Float between multiple med/surg and telemetry units as needed within the facility
  • Complete orientation including one day of classroom and two days of departmental training

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with at least 2 years of med/surg and telemetry experience
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Med-Surg certification is a plus
  • Ability to pass EKG competency exam during onboarding
  • Proficient in all cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring
  • Comfortable working in a busy, team-oriented environment
