RN Med Surg | Ithaca, New York

Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic hospital setting specializing in telemetry and medical-surgical units. This role emphasizes delivering patient-centered care to adults with a variety of health conditions, utilizing your strong assessment and critical thinking skills. As a Registered Nurse, you will closely monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms, manage complex medications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and med-surgical nursing care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team for optimal outcomes
• Document all patient care accurately and promptly
• Respond swiftly and appropriately to changes in patient conditions

Qualifications:

• Current and active RN license
• Experience in telemetry and medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, observation, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and patient education skills

Schedule:

• Nights
• Twelve-hour shifts
• Rotation covers three shifts per week
