Registered Nurse | Med Surg/Neuro Unit | Littleton, CO | Contract Opportunity

Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological and medical-surgical needs on a 7th-floor neuro unit.
- Perform neuro assessments, including NIH stroke evaluations, and manage critical procedures such as tracheostomy care and feeding tube management.
- Monitor patient conditions closely using specialized equipment including IV pumps, seizure monitoring devices, Bi-pap and C-pap machines.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to neuro clinical practice guidelines, emphasizing stroke care and fall risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation through the Meditech EMR system.
- Participate in patient experience strategies to foster a positive, engaging care environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with a strong medical-surgical nursing background.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Acute Care Life Support (ACLS) and neuro nursing experience highly preferred.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting with excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and a proactive approach in clinical care.
Schedule:
- Night shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM.
