A nursing opportunity is available in Longmont, CO, for experienced RNs specializing in Med/Surg care. This contract role offers a dynamic work environment on a busy 29-bed unit that can occasionally accommodate up to 39 patients, including adults and pediatric overflow. The unit is equipped with remote telemetry monitoring and operates with a supportive team including charge nurses and ancillary clinical team members.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current RN license with Med/Surg experience required
  • Ability to interpret telemetry strips is mandatory
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Experience managing post-op surgical patients and cardiac drips such as amiodarone, diltiazem, and heparin is highly valued
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, energetic personality suited for a high-paced setting

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to post-operative and telemetry patients
  • Monitor cardiac drips and administer treatments according to unit protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the MediTech EMR system
  • Adhere to unit policies and safety standards
