Deliver skilled nursing care in a dynamic Med/Surg and Telemetry setting at a Level 1 Trauma Designation teaching hospital in Macon, GA. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced RNs ready to apply their Med/Surg and telemetry skills supporting a multidisciplinary healthcare team focused on quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include managing a 1:4-6 patient ratio on inpatient Med/Surg units ranging from 20-36 beds, proficiently handling cardiac drips (insulin, heparin, and others tied to heart rate), tracheostomy care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and glucometer use. Participate as part of a float pool supporting various Med/Tele units, ensuring comprehensive care and smooth transitions across units.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years Med/Surg and telemetry experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
- Med Surg certification a plus
- Must pass an EKG competency exam during orientation
- Competency in all cardiac drips essential
