Deliver advanced nursing care in a specialized rehabilitation setting focused on critical illness recovery. This contract position involves applying comprehensive nursing assessments, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient rehabilitation and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop tailored plans of care. • Identify and address patient and family teaching needs related to diagnoses and treatment goals. • Provide timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in compliance with policies. • Actively participate in the patient rehabilitation program, prioritizing education to facilitate positive and achievable patient outcomes. • Initiate discharge planning from admission, ensuring readiness and teaching aligned with discharge goals. • Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary staff to support patient safety and continuity of care. • Supervise, train, and delegate responsibilities to ancillary nursing staff using effective problem-solving and time management skills. • Maintain a safe care environment, adhering strictly to safety policies covering patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazards. • Contribute to a positive unit atmosphere through calm leadership and teamwork. • Monitor and manage clinical supplies and equipment to ensure cost-effective, quality care delivery. • Pursue ongoing professional development and provide charge nurse leadership when required.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with a Master’s degree preferred (RN-MS). • Proven competency in nursing care aligned with rehabilitation and critical illness protocols. • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills. • Ability to lead, supervise, and mentor nursing teams effectively. • Commitment to patient and employee safety principles. • Experience working collaboratively in interdisciplinary healthcare environments.
