Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Moundville, Alabama

A specialized nursing opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses to provide expert care in a 42-bed Heart Failure / Stroke Unit. This unit focuses on patients with neurological and cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure and acute stroke. The role demands precision and compassion, working alongside cardiologists and neurologists to deliver top-tier care in a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
• Current Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
• Certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale or Red Cross
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in neuro-cardiac specialty care (18 months of experience may be considered with advanced licensure)
• Must be registered in NURSYS system
• Ability and willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care to patients with complex neurological and cardiac diagnoses
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists and neurologists
• Maintain and uphold best practice standards of care within the specialty unit
• Participate in holiday coverage and every other weekend shifts
• Flexible scheduling options: 36 or 48 hours per week
