A healthcare opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Medical-Surgical care. This contract position is based in the Murfreesboro, Tennessee area, offering the chance to work in a busy and dynamic hospital unit focused on orthopedics, spine, trauma, and general medical-surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and orthopedic/spine patients
  • Perform thorough assessments and prioritize patient needs using critical thinking and time management skills
  • Utilize specialized equipment such as Alaris pumps, telemetry monitors, and wound vacs
  • Collaborate effectively with RN/LPN teams and support staff to maintain excellent patient care
  • Document patient information accurately using electronic medical records (Meditech)
  • Adhere to unit policies and maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards
  • Maintain patient care quality during procedures including post-catheterizations, thoracentesis, and dialysis

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking abilities
  • Punctual, organized, and a team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
