A healthcare opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Medical-Surgical care. This contract position is based in the Murfreesboro, Tennessee area, offering the chance to work in a busy and dynamic hospital unit focused on orthopedics, spine, trauma, and general medical-surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and orthopedic/spine patients
- Perform thorough assessments and prioritize patient needs using critical thinking and time management skills
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Alaris pumps, telemetry monitors, and wound vacs
- Collaborate effectively with RN/LPN teams and support staff to maintain excellent patient care
- Document patient information accurately using electronic medical records (Meditech)
- Adhere to unit policies and maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards
- Maintain patient care quality during procedures including post-catheterizations, thoracentesis, and dialysis
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking abilities
- Punctual, organized, and a team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
