A Registered Nurse opportunity is available on a contract basis in Nazlini, Arizona, supporting a 20-bed medical-surgical unit dedicated to adult geriatrics and pediatric patients. This role demands a skilled professional comfortable managing diverse patient populations, with excellent staffing ratios that enhance patient care quality and nurse satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care on a med-surg unit serving adults and pediatric patients.
- Manage patient loads effectively with typical ratios of 4:1 for non-COVID patients and 2:1 for COVID patients.
- Participate in seasonal flu immunization clinics and occasional float assignments in other qualified departments.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and comply with orientation requirements held weekly on Mondays.
- Maintain flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of three years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- At least one year of pediatric nursing experience.
- Comfortable and competent with both adult and pediatric care.
- Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
