Provide expert nursing care within a dynamic Med/Surg unit, delivering comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and occasional pediatric care. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure each patient’s physical, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs are met with compassion and clinical excellence. Utilize the Nursing Process to make critical decisions and coordinate care effectively while reporting to the Unit Director and working alongside the Clinical Nurse Lead or Nursing Supervisor.
This contract opportunity offers night shifts in a supportive environment, with travelers starting on Wednesdays. During orientation week, hours are adjusted to accommodate the midweek start.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of three years acute care nursing experience, preferably in Med/Surg
- Current Vermont RN license or multi-state RN licensure
- BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certification required
- Ability to provide adult care with occasional pediatric patient exposure (not pediatric-only)
- Adherence to mandatory flu vaccination policy
