Deliver expert nursing care in a dynamic cardiac medical/telemetry setting at a well-established hospital in Pittsford, NY. This contract role offers an engaging opportunity to support patients in a 37-bed unit, with a focus on acute medical-surgical and telemetry care. Nurses will provide compassionate, skilled care through a 12-hour night/day rotation shift schedule, ensuring excellent outcomes for diverse cardiac patients.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care in accordance with the cardiac med/tele protocols
- Utilizing EPIC for accurate charting and documentation
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
- Remaining flexible to float to other units as needed
- Participating in charge nurse duties with provided training
- Adhering to holiday and weekend shift requirements as outlined by the facility
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New York RN license
- Current NIH, AHA BLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in acute med surg/tele nursing
- Preferred 2 years recent experience in acute med surg/tele
- For non-U.S. candidates, at least 2 years of U.S. work experience is required
- Willingness to work night/day rotation schedules and at least one holiday per contract
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts (7 PM–7 AM / 7 AM–7 PM)
- Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
- One weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend
This 13-week contract requires candidates to reside more than 50 miles from the facility and be open to block booking if requested. Flexibility and a proactive approach are essential for success.
