A rewarding opportunity is available for a registered nurse with experience in acute medical-surgical and telemetry care, offering the chance to provide critical support during night shifts at a specialized cardiac unit. This 13-week contract position invites skilled professionals to contribute their expertise while working with a dedicated team focused on cardiac patient care. Flexibility and adaptability are important, as duties may include floating to other units and occasional charge nurse responsibilities with provided training.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality nursing care within a 37-bed cardiac med/telemetry unit, utilizing EPIC for charting and adhering to established protocols to ensure patient safety and well-being. Night shifts run 12 hours—from 7 PM to 7 AM—offering a consistent schedule with 36 or 48-hour workweeks available. Candidates can expect to work at least one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend, along with covering at least one holiday during the contract period.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year recent acute med-surg/telemetry nursing experience; 2 years preferred.
  • For non-U.S. candidates, at least 2 years of U.S. nursing work experience is required.
  • Active New York State RN license.
  • Current NIH AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to the unit’s staffing needs.
  • Willingness and eligibility to travel or relocate, residing more than 50 miles from the facility.
