Provide skilled nursing care as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical inpatient unit, delivering comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to optimize care and comfort. This role supports a diverse patient population and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care.
Location: St. Louis, MO – a vibrant city known for its iconic Gateway Arch, rich brewing history with nearly 65 craft breweries, and dynamic entertainment districts. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer direct patient care using the nursing process across all age groups
- Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with ancillary departments
- Maintain patient confidentiality and rights in accordance with professional standards
- Adhere to established nursing practices, state regulations, and organizational policies
- Provide care post-trauma, surgical interventions, and for complex medical comorbidities
- Utilize equipment including Nova Meters, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo pumps
- Participate in unit orientation and ongoing training as required
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
- Minimum of 1 year inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification from AHA required; ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work night shifts (1900-0730) with possible floating to other units
- Strong teamwork orientation and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Schedule & Assignment Details:
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (flexibility required)
- Night shifts with weekend rotations every other weekend
- No call requirements
