Medical-Surgical RN in Saint Louis, MO

Provide skilled nursing care as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical inpatient unit, delivering comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to optimize care and comfort. This role supports a diverse patient population and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care using the nursing process across all age groups
• Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with ancillary departments
• Maintain patient confidentiality and rights in accordance with professional standards
• Adhere to established nursing practices, state regulations, and organizational policies
• Provide care post-trauma, surgical interventions, and for complex medical comorbidities
• Utilize equipment including Nova Meters, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo pumps
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing training as required

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification from AHA required; ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to work night shifts (1900-0730) with possible floating to other units
• Strong teamwork orientation and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Schedule & Assignment Details:

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (flexibility required)
• Night shifts with weekend rotations every other weekend
• No call requirements
