An opportunity is available for a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide expert care in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting during night shifts. This role requires a compassionate professional skilled in nursing processes, patient assessment, and coordination to deliver outstanding care within established guidelines and standards. The assignment is a 13-week contract position offering flexible guaranteed hours of either 36 or 48 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for medical patients.
  • Coordinate care with ancillary departments to optimize treatment and patient comfort.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional accountability in accordance with nursing practice acts and institutional standards.
  • Assist in managing post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
  • Utilize equipment such as bladder scanners, vein finders, IV pumps, and wound vacuums.
  • Participate in float duties to similar or lower acuity units as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Registered Nurse license valid or eligible for Missouri.
  • Minimum of 1 year inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.
  • Possession of American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment with flexibility and dependability.
  • Comfortable with physical demands including patient lifting and movement.

Location: Situated in Saint Peters, Missouri, this position provides access to a region rich in cultural and recreational attractions. Additional Details:

  • Night shift hours: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
  • Weekend work required, typically every other weekend.
  • Black scrubs are the dress code.
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season.
  • Orientation for this night shift role will be on day shift; availability for the full orientation week is mandatory.
  • The role is contract-based, accommodating flexibility in guaranteed weekly hours on submission.
