Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Experience in Med Surg and neuro-focused patient populations preferred
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Proven ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Schedule:

• Flexible contract position
• Nursing ratios of 1:4-6, allowing for focused patient care

Responsibilities:

• Care for neuro med/surg patients transferred from critical care units who are floor stable
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications, monitor neurological status, and document interventions accurately
• Communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, and families regarding patient progress
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and implement physician orders
• Ensure compliance with best practice standards and safety protocols
• Support patient and family education throughout the continuum of care
