Providing specialized care for patients with neuro-cardiac conditions requires skilled and compassionate nursing professionals. This opportunity seeks a registered nurse with expertise in managing complex neurological and cardiac cases within a dedicated Heart Failure / Stroke Unit. The unit is a 42-bed specialized area offering a focused environment to deliver the highest standards of care in collaboration with cardiologists and neurologists.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients diagnosed with congestive heart failure and acute stroke.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists and neurologists.
- Maintain expertise in neuro-cardiac care protocols and ensure compliance with best practice standards.
- Assist with patient assessments, treatment planning, and monitoring of clinical progress.
- Float between units and hospitals as assigned to support varying patient care needs.
- Fulfill scheduling requirements including holiday coverage and every other weekend shifts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in nursing required.
- Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted).
- Certification in AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH or Red Cross.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; at least 1 year in a specialty related to neuro-cardiac care considered essential.
- Ability and willingness to float to other units and hospitals.
- Compliance with background checks and license verification via NURSYS.
Schedule & Job Type:
- Contract position with either 36 or 48 hours per week.
- Holidays as required and every other weekend shift rotation.
