Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Wichita, Kansas

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse to provide dedicated care on the Telemetry T4 unit at a reputable community hospital in Wichita, KS. This contract role involves working the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, delivering exceptional nursing services in a supportive team environment focused on patient well-being.

Unit and Work Environment: The Telemetry T4 unit includes 26 beds staffed by a collaborative team of 36 healthcare professionals. Night shifts feature a Charge Nurse, three RNs, and two Patient Care Technicians, with an estimated patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1. The unit utilizes modern equipment such as lifts, wheelchairs, gait belts, and walkers, supported by electronic medical records systems. Preferred Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure with experience in telemetry or medical-surgical nursing
• BLS and ACLS certification (must-have)

• Ability to manage patient care for procedures including TURPs, gastric bypass, joint replacements, post-hysterectomy care, and gallbladder surgeries
