Providing specialized care on a telemetry unit requires skilled nursing professionals committed to patient-centered treatment and teamwork. This position offers the opportunity to work a night shift in a welcoming, community hospital environment supported by experienced staff and leadership.

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver focused nursing care to patients on a 26-bed telemetry unit
  • Collaborate closely with a dedicated team including charge nurses, patient care technicians, and unit clerks
  • Utilize equipment such as lifts, wheelchairs, gait belts, and walkers/canes effectively
  • Perform procedures related to TURPs, gastric bypass, joint replacements, post-hysterectomy care, and gallbladder surgeries
  • Support and maintain unit policies to enhance patient safety and care quality
  • Participate in daily leadership rounds to ensure smooth unit operations

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse license (RN) required
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Experience or certification with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is a plus
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an outgoing and supportive demeanor
