NICU Registered Nurse in Liverpool, NY

Embark on a rewarding assignment caring for newborns in a high-acuity neonatal intensive care unit. Seeking an experienced registered nurse skilled in NICU care to deliver exceptional support for infants requiring specialized attention. Schedule & Duration:

• 36 hours per week
• 16-week contract

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Current BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a NICU RN
• Proficiency in charting with EPIC or equivalent EMR software
• Ability to wear scrubs in any color

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical nursing care for premature and ill newborns in the NICU
• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor vital signs
• Collaborate with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure individualized patient care
• Offer education and emotional support to families during challenging times
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation within the EPIC system
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control measures, and department standards
• Assist in the stabilization and ongoing management of neonatal patients with varying acuity levels
