Surgical Unit RN - Aurora, Illinois

Location: Aurora, IL

Schedule / Hours:

• Dayshift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call rotation required, covering weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist surgical teams during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during surgery
• Maintain sterility and adhere to infection control standards throughout surgical processes
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Document surgical care and patient information accurately

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current RN licensure with proven experience in operating room nursing
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and aseptic techniques
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-stress situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations including weekends and holidays
