This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse experienced in the Operating Room environment, seeking to apply clinical skills in a dynamic surgical setting. The role involves comprehensive patient care from assessment through evaluation, with responsibilities including patient education, protocol implementation, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the scope of nursing practice
  • Educate patients based on individual needs and conditions
  • Transcribe and implement physician orders and established protocols accurately
  • Coordinate tasks among ancillary personnel to ensure a smooth workflow in the operating room
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and operational success

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school required
  • Current, valid RN license in the State of Wyoming, in good standing with the Board of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months if taking call or administering conscious sedation
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
  • Previous hospital experience preferred, ideally in surgical or operating room settings
  • Completion of required continuing education units annually
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional, empathetic demeanor
  • Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and problem-solve independently
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
