This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse experienced in the Operating Room environment, seeking to apply clinical skills in a dynamic surgical setting. The role involves comprehensive patient care from assessment through evaluation, with responsibilities including patient education, protocol implementation, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the scope of nursing practice
- Educate patients based on individual needs and conditions
- Transcribe and implement physician orders and established protocols accurately
- Coordinate tasks among ancillary personnel to ensure a smooth workflow in the operating room
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and operational success
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school required
- Current, valid RN license in the State of Wyoming, in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months if taking call or administering conscious sedation
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
- Previous hospital experience preferred, ideally in surgical or operating room settings
- Completion of required continuing education units annually
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, empathetic demeanor
- Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and problem-solve independently
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
