OR Nurse (RN) - Burlington, North Dakota

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, serving as a Circulating Nurse in a Level 2 Trauma Center. This 13-week contract role requires a professional to support patient safety throughout the surgical process—from pre-operative to post-operative care—adhering to established standards including AORN guidelines. The position involves varied shifts and some on-call responsibilities within a 50-mile radius.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room setting.
• Function as a circulating nurse ensuring patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
• Apply aseptic techniques and infection control standards rigorously.
• Collaborate effectively within the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Comply with performance standards based on AORN recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current RN license in North Dakota or compact RN licensure.
• BLS certification (to be obtained within orientation).
• Two years’ experience preferred, especially in Level 2 trauma settings.
• Travel experience and Cerner electronic documentation skills required.
• CNOR certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrates sound judgment, efficiency, and teamwork skills.

Schedule:

• Shifts vary including early morning, day, and evening hours (e.g., 0545-1415, 0600-1430, 0830-1700, 1300-2130).
• Call responsibility approximately one day per week and select weekends.
