Surgical Unit RN - Kemp, TX

An opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience to provide specialized perioperative care in a hospital setting. This contract position offers daytime hours with a consistent weekly schedule and occasional call duties, supporting a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Two or more years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Skilled in multiple specialties including general surgery, endoscopy, robotics, orthopedics, and some vascular procedures

Responsibilities:

• Deliver focused, one-on-one nursing care to surgical patients in the Operating Room
• Assist surgical teams in various specialties by preparing and managing surgical instruments and equipment
• Participate in a call rotation with one evening and one weekend per month
• Utilize paper charting methods in compliance with facility guidelines
• Adhere to facility policies and maintain strict infection control standards

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call required one evening per week (3:30 PM to 6:30 AM) and one weekend per month on a rotating basis

This position does not involve block scheduling, floating assignments, or blackout restrictions on time off, providing a predictable work routine. Scrubs are provided for your convenience.
