A skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience is sought for a contract opportunity in Matthews, NC. This role requires expertise in circulating and assisting in a wide range of surgical specialties within a fast-paced OR setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and circulation of surgical procedures across multiple specialties including Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Urology, Robotics, Gynecology, Plastics, and Cardiothoracic cases
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and various clinical technology such as Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication systems, and Phillips monitors
- Collaborate with surgical teams including anesthesia providers, charge nurses, and OR assistants to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Participate in orientation specific to surgical units with flexibility to accommodate shift schedules
- Adhere to facility protocols and maintain sterile environments
Desired Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse license with current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience, ideally with circulating experience in multiple specialties
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system and common surgical technology
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Schedule & Shift Details:
- 12-hour day shifts (7 AM – 7 PM), approximately 36 hours per week
- On-call rotation includes 3-4 weeknight calls and 1-2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holiday call rotation participation expected

- Orientation consists of five 8-hour shifts (flexible with management approval)
