An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience, based in Milledgeville, GA. This contract role involves delivering high-level nursing care within intensive care and surgical trauma settings, primarily during 12-hour night shifts. Candidates will contribute to patient care across various specialized ICU units, including CCU, MICU, NICU, PCU, CVICU, and STICU. Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Active RN license with Operating Room (OR) experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CCRN preferred
- Proficient in tracheostomy care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and glucometer use
- Skilled in managing common IV drips including insulin, heparin, sedatives, vasopressors, narcotics, cardiac, and paralytic drips
- Willingness and ability to float across various ICU and progressive care units
- Successful completion of EKG competency exam during onboarding required

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in specialized ICU and OR settings following hospital guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including charge nurses, respiratory therapists, and intensivists
- Monitor and document patient status using EMR systems (EPIC) and operate medical equipment such as Alaris IV pumps and Phillips monitors
- Participate in weekend and holiday shift rotations, including a structured 6-week schedule
- Assist with patient safety, clinical support, and ongoing education initiatives
- Adhere to hospital protocols for patient care and infection control
Schedule and Work Environment
- 12-hour night shifts, 7 PM – 7 AM, with a 6-week rotation cycle
- Weekend rotation: 6 shifts out of 12 every 6 weeks, working one major holiday shift per holiday period
- No on-call or callback requirements
- Scrub color: Navy for RNs
