A nursing opportunity is available for an experienced RN in the Operating Room (OR) department located in the Mooresville, NC area. This contract role is suited for a skilled perioperative professional with at least five years of experience who thrives in a dynamic surgical environment. Ideal candidates will provide expert circulator support and have proficiency in scrubbing, particularly on night shifts. Charge RN experience is a must. This role requires flexibility and the ability to manage a variety of complex surgical cases, including trauma, orthopedics, robotics, general surgery, and more.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current NC Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum of 5 years OR nursing experience
  • BLS certification required; CNOR preferred but not mandatory
  • Charge RN and scrubbing proficiency, especially for night shifts
  • Experience with a broad range of surgical cases such as trauma, ortho trauma, total joints, spine, robotics, vascular, and gynecological oncology
  • Strong flexibility, self-motivation, and team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced OR environment
  • Manage and coordinate patient care during surgery, ensuring safety and sterility
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room staff
  • Maintain professionalism and adaptability to meet emergent surgical needs
  • Participate in weekend rotations and call shifts with timely response capability

Schedule and Contract Details:

  • 12-hour day shifts (7:00 am – 7:00 pm)
  • Weekend rotation every fourth weekend, with call shifts averaging six per six-week schedule
  • Must be available to respond within 45 minutes when on call
  • Expected to cover approximately 75% of holidays during the contract period
