An experienced RN operating room professional is sought for a contract opportunity in Salisbury, NC. This role involves delivering exceptional perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity surgical setting. Trusted to support diverse surgical specialties with precision and collaboration, this position offers involvement in complex case management within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and provide nursing care across diverse surgical cases including trauma, orthopedic trauma and total joints, spine, cardiovascular, gynecology and oncology, robotics, bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, plastics, and more.
  • Apply critical thinking to assist surgeons and support patient safety and comfort throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
  • Participate in a structured orientation and ongoing departmental training.
  • Adhere to scheduling that includes a 12-hour day shift with weekend rotations every 4th weekend and an average of 6 call shifts per 6 weeks requiring a 45-minute response time.
  • Contribute to a collaborative OR department culture with support from clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, and technical staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current NC RN license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operating room experience; charge nurse experience and scrubbing proficiency are required for this night shift contract.
  • BLS certification; CNOR preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in laparoscopic and open surgical procedures including ortho trauma, cystoscopy, vascular, and robotics cases is strongly advantageous.
  • Adaptable, motivated, and team-oriented to accommodate dynamic case requests.
