A nursing opportunity is available for an experienced registered nurse specializing in the operating room. This contract position offers the chance to utilize your skills in orthopedic, neurological, and robotics surgical procedures within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The role requires strong circulating capabilities to effectively support surgical teams and ensure patient safety throughout various operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the operating room, focusing on orthopedic, neuro, and robotic cases.
  • Serve primarily as a circulating nurse, managing equipment, supplies, and patient safety during surgery.
  • Respond promptly to on-call duties, including 16 hours on weekends and 24 hours on weekdays within a 4-week cycle, with a 30-minute response time.
  • Work scheduled shifts starting at 0630, with two shifts every other weekend and additional weekend on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required.
  • Proven experience in operating room nursing with an emphasis on orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgeries.
  • Strong circulating nurse skills preferred.
  • Ability to respond swiftly to on-call demands with excellent clinical judgment.

Schedule:

  • Shift start time at 0630.
  • On-call coverage includes 16 hours on weekends plus 24 hours on weekdays over a 4-week period.
  • Scheduled for two shifts every other weekend, with weekend call in addition to regular shifts.
