An opportunity is available for a registered nurse with at least three years of Level 1 trauma experience to work in a high-acuity Operating Room specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures. This role requires expertise in surgical nursing, delivering exceptional patient care, and excelling in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is skilled with Robotics (DaVinci Xi) and proficient in procedures including PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies, serving a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide perioperative care for patients undergoing complex Gynecology and Genitourinary surgeries.
  • Utilize advanced surgical equipment including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Respond effectively to trauma cases within a Level One Trauma Center setting.
  • Participate in scheduled overnight trauma calls and specialty team call rotations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years Level 1 trauma experience in an Operating Room setting.
  • Competency with robotics and various GU/GYN surgical procedures.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
  • Comfortable handling a wide range of patient age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
  • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 3x12 schedule, including weekends (1:4 rotation).

Schedule:

  • Shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
  • 36 guaranteed weekly hours.
  • One overnight trauma call per week, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
  • Weekend rotation every fourth weekend.
