A skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience is needed for an ICU role on a contract basis in Warner Robins, GA. This opportunity involves caring for critically ill patients across various ICU units, including Medical, Surgical Trauma, Cardiovascular, Neuro, and Progressive Care Units. The position offers a challenging, dynamic environment where your expertise in critical care nursing is essential to providing exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to ICU patients with complex medical conditions.
- Manage advanced life support equipment and administer multiple intravenous drips, including vasopressors and sedation.
- Perform procedures such as tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and peripheral IV starts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and unit secretaries.
- Float across several ICU units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Utilize electronic medical records (Epic) and other clinical technologies proficiently.
- Participate in a weekend rotation schedule and cover key holidays as required.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse licensure with at least 2 years of ICU experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications; CCRN preferred.
- Proficient in ventilator and critical care monitoring.
- Willingness to complete an EKG competency exam during onboarding.
- Ability to comfortably float to various ICU subunits.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

- Holiday work requirements on major dates including Christmas Eve or Day and New Year’s Eve or Day.
- No on-call or float-back requirements outside of unit floating.
