This opportunity suits registered nurses with a strong background in acute care, particularly within cardiac medical-surgical and telemetry settings. The role involves rotating between cardiac and med-surg units, requiring adaptability and solid clinical skills.
Location:
Based in Brockton, MA, this assignment offers access to a city known for its rich history and close proximity to Boston, combining small-town charm with urban convenience.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday required
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience
- Proficient in Meditech IVs, telemetry monitoring
- Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical units
- Recent cardiac experience with independent telemetry strip interpretation
- Pass on-site telemetry exam with 84% or higher (two attempts allowed)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years med/surg telemetry nursing experience
- EPIC electronic health record experience
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care on cardiac and general medical-surgical units
- Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Demonstrate flexibility with unit assignments and patient care demands
Additional Information:
This is a contract position offering competitive supplemental pay. Nurses will be expected to flex between units, providing excellent care to diverse patient populations.
