An opportunity for a Registered Nurse skilled in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (RN-PACU) nursing awaits in Englewood, CO. Unit Details:

  • Unit: Orthopedic Surgical Unit (MS ORTHO 612)
  • Beds: 20
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5
  • Shift Structure: Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM) with one charge nurse and four nurses
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care for elective orthopedic and orthopedic trauma patients.
  • Perform tasks such as dressing changes and joint aspirations.
  • Manage pain effectively, applying orthopedic-focused knowledge.
  • Work independently caring for approximately five patients during shifts.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to maintain high standards of patient care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active RN license with PACU nursing skills.
  • Experience in a surgical unit is essential.
  • Orthopedic and pain management experience are highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a positive team player.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
