Hospital PACU Nurse | Lowell, Massachusetts

A critical role is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with PACU expertise to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced post-anesthesia care unit. This contract position requires a professional with proven experience in an academic medical center setting, offering a dynamic environment to apply your specialized nursing skills.

Location: Lowell, MA

Schedule/Hours:

• 36 hours per week
• 50% Day/Night rotation
• Up to 2 weekend shifts per month

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgery
• Monitor patients' vital signs and response to anesthesia closely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies during recovery

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• At least 1 year of Travel PACU experience
• Minimum 1 year working in an Academic Medical Center environment
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in post-anesthesia care
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and nights
