PACU Registered Nurse in Saint Charles, MO

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing. This role involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort during the critical post-operative phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients’ vital signs and recovery progress immediately following surgery.
• Administer medications and manage pain control as prescribed.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Respond promptly to any medical emergencies or complications.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current RN license with PACU nursing experience.
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia recovery and post-surgical care.
• Ability to assess and prioritize patient needs effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
