Psych RN - Chicopee, MA

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in behavioral health to provide compassionate care at a well-established behavioral health hospital. This contract position is based in Chicopee, MA, and offers a dynamic work environment supporting patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse behavioral health diagnoses such as schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Manage patient care on multiple units, including adult, pediatric (ages 5-17), and geriatric populations.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic health records.
• Float across different units as needed, adapting to varied patient needs and settings.
• Adhere to facility policies and protocols, including safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Willingness to work a day shift schedule from 7 AM to 7 PM with every other weekend commitment.
• Professional appearance adhering to the facility’s dress code (blue scrubs).

Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts, 7 AM to 7 PM.
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours.
• Every other weekend rotation.
• No call requirements.
