An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with psychiatric experience to work in a locked adolescent psychiatric unit, caring for patients ages 12-18. This role is ideal for nurses with at least one year of mental health experience and a willingness to work in a dynamic, supportive environment using Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication dispensing technology.

Shift Details:
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00pm to 7:00am
- 36-hour workweek
- Weekend rotation every other weekend or block schedule with all weekends off if preferred
- No on-call duties
- Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor holiday per policy with blackout dates observed
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN license with at least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience (adolescent experience preferred)
- BLS certification
- CPI/MAB/Secure certification required before starting
- Ability to perform de-escalation techniques effectively
- Experience or willingness to orient to Cerner EMR and Omnicell systems
- Comfortable with occasional phlebotomy duties and floating to other psychiatric units as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent patients in a secure environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including MHTs, unit clerks, and psychiatric nurse practitioners
- Maintain patient safety through de-escalation and observation
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training sessions to ensure quality of care
- Adhere to facility policies including scrub color coding and scheduled parking
